3M 94 Tape primer is usually applied before attach the adhesive tape, as it can improve the tape adhesion to make sure the tape bond firmly and permanently to the substrates.
It's very easy to use, first, clean by isopropyl alcohol, to make sure the surface is free from contaminants prior to applying the tape, then use brush or swab for small areas, or you can also use pressurized flow gun for those larger areas, then, allow the primer to dry completely, which is usually accomplished in 5 minutes at room temperature, before applying tape. For those porous surfaces, It may require 2 applications for uniform coverage in order to realize the good adhesion. Please note that before applying a second coat,you need to allow your first application of primer to dry completely.
