The 3 M 5423 is made of UHMW-PE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) thermoplastic backing, coated with a rubber adhesive. This special UHMW film provides exceptional hardness and a slick surface, offering a unique combination of low-friction performance, chemical resistance, and durability against wear and vibration. It can create a "slip-plane" effect, minimizing friction and noise, such as squeaks, during operation. Ideal for use in the aerospace, automotive, printing, and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) industries, it's especially effective for enhancing the performance of conveyor guide rails, chutes, and protecting sensitive surfaces during manufacturing processes. Also, 3 m 5423 is a thicker version of 3 m 5421.
