170 Degree Resistance PVC Masking Tape TE-SA 7140 for Two-tone Car Body Masking

Te-sa® 7140 PV0 consists of a laminate of PVC film with a PET film. It combines the preferred features of both materials: The PVC film ensures high paint adhesion to the backing and increases the flexibility of the tape, while the use of the PET layer results in a high tensile strength. These properties are important in the automotive industry, as they allow the masking of window flange areas prior to paint processes, thus eliminating the need for additional surface treatment steps (such as primer) during the application of the window panes. Instead, the window pane can be directly bonded to the e-coated window flange area.

The high temperature resistance of up to 170°C ensures that the tape works in most oven and baking processes in automotive paint shops. 7140 PV0 can be applied manually, semi-manually (hand applicators), or completely automatically (robot dispensers).
 

Te-sa® 4174 compared to 7140 is thinner,it can resist up to 150c temperature.It has small width (10mm): adhesion to steel = 2,4N/cm. It is also available for converting and die-cutting with a paper liner 4174 PV4: adhesion to steel = 4,4N/cm, peel off force from liner = 14 cN/cm. Also available as customized die cuts upon request as te sa® 54174
