3 M 4936 is a double-sided tape featuring a multi-purpose acrylic adhesive and conformable foam core on a 3 mil thick 54# densified kraft paper liner, yielding a 25 mil (0.6 mm) thickness when applied. It delivers an optimal balance of strength, conformability, and adhesion to high/medium surface energy materials, serving as a seamless alternative to rivets, welds, and screws. These attributes enable diverse bonding and sealing applications, including metal panel-to-frame attachment and stiffener bonding.
