3M 13 Scotch High Temperature Electrical Tape Conductive Tape for repairing semi-conductive cables 

Scotch™ 13 semi-conductive tape is increasingly used in power system maintenance due to its stable product properties. It is used to solve the problem of cable repair rapidly in many application scenarios:

• Uniform electric field, reducing electric field stress
• Extension of shielding layer for cables above 6kV

• As shielding layer of solid dielectric insulated cables
• Repair of semi-conductive layers, including inner and outer cable shields

 

Features
 

• Used to continue semi-conducting strand shielding found in solid dielectric cables at 5kV and above
• Usable for indoor or outdoor applications and stable at elevated temperature up to 130C (266F)
• Semi-conducting (low resistivity) and retains conductivity during installation when stretched
• Excellent resistance to cracking or checking from solvents, UV, or moisture
• Not oil resistant. Do not use in splicing and terminating cables with oil or slippery compounds
• Meets requirement of ASTM-D4388, Type IV and RoHS 2011/65/EU Compliant
• For industrial/occupational use only. Not for consumer sale or use
