Washi tape is also named washi printing paper tape, it's originated in Japan. After the "paper" invented in ancient China,it spread to Japan through Goryeo.Japanese unique raw materials and production methods combined with their cultural characteristics made a birth to Japanese washi tape.In recent years it has beed integrated with various design patterns and colors.

Washi tape is slightly different from crepe paper masking tape which is based on Japanese washi paper as backing material.There is a coating on the tape that keeps it water resistant.You can write on washi tape, stamp on washi tape, but not all ink will hold on washi tape due to its protective coating.
